Student Board members, Indiana High School Press Association, reviewing the First Amendment at conference in Indianapolis March 5th

It was a great day for student journalism when Trish Whitcomb Sipes, Special Advisor to Superintendent of Education, Glenda Ritz, announced at the IHSPA conference that local school boards will now be able to give journalism students “weighted credit” for journalism, like other electives.  Go, student journalists!  It was great to be with all of you, even you budding jounalists……!  Keep standing up for your rights!
