We’re down to the final ten days of our crowdsource campaign. Sort of do or…not do. If we hit our minimum goal of $50,000 we do. If we don’t, we don’t.
Thanks to specific contributions from three wonderful supporters — and generous discounts from Gail Larsen and the kind folks at Bishop’s Lodge, we are off next week to begin a Transformational Speaking Immersion workshop through Gail’s much-lauded Real Speaking program.
We didn’t know whether we’d raise the funds for our national bus tour when we had to send in our deposits and request time off from work, but we knew that if we did — we wanted to be ready to do something different. Even if it scares us.
“If you want to change the world, tell a better story.”
That’s the motto at Real Speaking. And that’s what we have always wanted to do — and to inspire — with the Tinker Tour.
Youth voices matter. They really, really matter. The world isn’t changed so much by 60-year-olds (well, maybe a few 60-year-olds… 🙂 ). History shows it is changed — it is transformed — by young voices.
By voices willing and able — and empowered — to tell a different story.
We are sincerely committed to making this tour something different. One that makes a difference. And we’re asking for your help. We have just ten days left.
If you’ve not shared information about the Tinker Tour with your family, friends and colleagues — now would be a wonderful time! We’ve been blessed with some wonderful, big donations. But small ones add up.
Even if you’re not in a position to contribute money, you can help by sharing information about what we’re trying to do with ten — or a hundred — of those in your circles. (Mike has written a short piece explaining why he believes the tour is worth supporting that makes the case pretty well — and that you can share by clicking the “Share This” icon at the bottom of the page.)
We have a story to tell. And we really, really want to tell it. Thank you for your help.
